Three people were killed Monday afternoon in a shooting at a Target store in Austin, Texas.
The shooting happened in the Target parking lot on Research Boulevard.
The suspect reportedly fled in a stolen vehicle after killing three people.
The suspect, described as a white male wearing a Hawaiian shirt, is in custody, according to the Austin Police Department.
It’s unclear whether anyone else was injured.
Police say the area remains an active crime scene, with investigations ongoing and access restricted.
“Due to the active crime scene at the Target on Research Boulevard, vehicles in the parking lot cannot be released until the initial investigation is complete. Please arrange alternate transportation home. We will share an update as soon as it is safe to retrieve your vehicle,” Austin Police Department wrote on X.
