Another incident of possible left-wing violence occurred at a military facility yesterday.
As CNN reported, an alarming scene unfolded at Joint Base Andrews, home to the Air National Guard Readiness Center. A person opened a suspicious package that contained white powder and political propaganda. At least seven people fell ill and were taken to the on-base Malcolm Grove Medical Center after the package was opened. Two sources told CNN that the people taken to the hospital were treated for their symptoms and have since been released.
Joint Base Andrews officials released a statement saying that, despite the illnesses, no immediate threats had been detected. “Joint Base Andrews first responders were dispatched to the scene, determined there were no immediate threats, and have turned the scene over to the Office of Special Investigations,” the statement reads. “An investigation is currently ongoing.”
Officials did not release any details about the political propaganda, leaving people to speculate about its nature.
One source told CNN that an initial field test by a HAZMAT team did not detect any hazardous materials, so it’s unclear why these people fell ill.
This news comes as reports confirm that top Trump officials are moving into military bases near Washington, D.C., amid escalating assassination fears. These officials include Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.
The move comes amid heightened security concerns following the September assassination of Charlie Kirk. The threats against Trump supporters from the radical left continue to this day. In fact, Democrats successfully ran a candidate in Virginia for Attorney General who fantasized about the murder of Republican children.
With Democrats emboldened by political violence, it’s fair to ask whether a Trump official, such as Hegseth, was a target in yesterday’s incident.
If such threats are not adequately dealt with, another prominent MAGA leader or elected official could be killed.
