Nick Offerman, known for his roles in “Civil War” and NBC’s “Parks and Recreation,” has joined the “Beta Males for Kamala” group, proudly declaring himself “a proud Kamala man.”
In a new YouTube video, Nick Offerman expresses his admiration for Kamala Harris through a parody of Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the U.S.A.”
The song is performed from the perspective of a hypothetical Republican who chooses to support Kamala in the name of “decency.”
At one point, Offerman praises Kamala Harris for her commitment to “stand up for democracy,” without mentioning that she bypassed her party’s primary elections before being officially nominated at last week’s DNC.
The parody song does not mention any of Kamala Harris’ policies or accomplishments, possibly because there are none to list. However, Offerman does highlight that Harris will “bring diversity,” which he seems to consider an achievement.
Much of the song focuses on criticizing former President Donald Trump—whom Offerman refers to as a “f*cking d*ck”—and repeats outdated and debunked claims, including the false allegation that Trump insulted members of the military.
Nick Offerman said he first performed the song at the recent Comics for Kamala fundraiser.
