Mother of Transgender Minneapolis Mass Shooter Appears to Have Fled, Won’t Cooperate With Police

Mary Grace Westman, mother of transgender Minneapolis mass shooter and child killer Robin Westman, has apparently fled and is refusing to cooperate with police.

On Wednesday, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara confirmed that a man in his 20s opened fire on children attending mass at Annunciation Catholic School, killing at least two and injuring 14 children and three adults. Police said the shooter was armed with three guns: a rifle, a shotgun, and a handgun.

The shooter was later identified as 23-year-old transgender Robert ‘Robin’ Westman, who is now deceased.

Court documents obtained by Fox News reveal that Mary Grace Westman ‘transitioned’ her son and changed his name from Robert to Robin at age 17.

“According to court documents, Robert Westman, at 17, legally changed his name to Robin after stating that he ‘identifies as female and wants her name to reflect that identification.’ The name-change application was filed by his mother, and a court granted the request in 2020,” Fox News reported.

Following his mother’s decision to transition him, Westman wrote in a journal that he was tired of being trans.

“I only keep [the long hair] because it is pretty much my last shred of being trans. I am tired of being trans, I wish I never brainwashed myself,” he wrote.

The FBI is treating the mass shooting as both a domestic terror attack and a hate crime targeting Catholics.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara, who has repeatedly said he cannot determine the motive behind the anti-Catholic transgender shooter’s attack, told the press on Thursday that Westman’s mother is not cooperating with law enforcement.

“We have not been successful in talking to the shooter’s mother,” Police Chief Brian O’Hara stated.
