Minnesota Governor Tim Walz threatens to form a ‘shadow government’ to oppose President Trump’s efforts to secure America’s elections, claiming it’s necessary to push back against the administration’s actions.
At a town hall in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, last week, Walz exposed the Democrats’ latest scheme to undermine the will of the American people, proposing an “alternate press conference” to push his version of “the truth” against Trump’s administration.
Walz’s rant came while campaigning for Judge Susan Crawford, a liberal activist posing as a judicial candidate in Wisconsin’s upcoming Supreme Court race.
Meanwhile, GOP Representative Brad Schimel is playing a crucial role in this critical election. A Democrat win could pave the way for redistricting that could help them secure a majority in the House by 2026.
Seizing the chance to attack Trump, Walz accused the administration of “restricting the vote” over its recent executive order aimed at ensuring only American citizens cast ballots. The order, signed Tuesday, mandates the Election Assistance Commission to update voter registration forms to require proof of citizenship.
“We see one of the first things they do is try and restrict the vote,” Walz ranted. “I don’t know what the answer is on this, but I’m kind of—I’ve been saying this: I think we need a shadow government, so when all these things come up every single day, we’ve got an alternate press conference telling the truth about what things are happening, tell them what’s going on.”
What Walz is proposing isn’t just political theater—it’s a direct attack on democracy. After losing the 2024 election in a landslide to Trump and Vice President JD Vance—who secured 312 electoral votes compared to Kamala Harris and Walz’s pitiful 226—the Democrats are desperate to regain power by any means necessary.
Unable to accept the voters’ rejection of their radical agenda, Walz now seeks to create an unelected cabal to run a parallel government, complete with its own propaganda machine to drown out the duly elected administration. If this isn’t a threat to the republic, then what is?
