Maricopa County Election Official Stephen Richer Announces He Plans to Vote for Biden in 2024

Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer, a widely disliked figure among Arizona Republicans, announced on Monday that he plans to vote for Joe Biden in the 2024 election.

Richer faced criticism after his 2020 campaign, during which he accused his predecessor, former Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes, of being a “criminal” and claimed that election laws were not being followed. Despite these accusations, Richer strongly opposed an audit of the 2020 Presidential Election and various other election integrity measures.

His former colleague, Steve Chucri, even exposed Stephen Richer for not trusting Dominion enough to be used in another election.

During the 2022 election, Stephen Richer oversaw early voting in Maricopa County, where problems with vote tabulating machines on election day and alleged issues with mail-in ballot verification led to accusations that the race was stolen from Kari Lake. He has strongly defended the election process, even suing Kari Lake for defamation after she publicly criticized him and the election results.

It should also be noted that Richer oversaw early voting in Kari Lake’s stolen 2022 gubernatorial election. He also founded and operated the Pro-Democracy Republicans PAC, which aims to eliminate candidates with a MAGA agenda.

Richer also admitted to voting for Democrats in the last election cycle.

In the interview below, Stephen Richer tells an Arizona reporter that he is voting for Joe Biden in 2024, despite voting for Trump in 2020.
