BREAKING: Judge Reveals He Won’t Allow Trump to Move ‘Hush Payment’ Case to Federal Court

Earlier this year, Trump’s attorney announced his intention to move the case concerning Trump’s “hush payment” to Stormy Daniels from a state court to a federal court.

Trump’s legal team holds the belief that transferring the case from a state court to a federal court will enable a more diverse jury pool.

In Manhattan, 86% of the population voted for the Democratic Party.

Judge Alvin Hellerstein revealed that he would not permit Trump to transfer the hush payment case to a federal court.

The judge is expected to make a decision in two weeks.

Judge Hellerstein was appointed by Bill Clinton.

As reported by ABC News:

A federal judge seemed disinclined on Tuesday to allow former President Donald Trump to move his criminal prosecution in New York into federal court.

“The act for which the president has been indicted does not relate to anything under the color of his office,” Judge Alvin Hellerstein said toward the end of a nearly three-hour hearing. The judge said he would issue a written ruling.

“I intend to write and issue a decision within two weeks,” the judge said.

Trump faced a criminal charge for each payment he made to his former attorney, Michael Cohen, in relation to the “hush payments” made to the two women.
