During an episode of The Daily Show, Hollywood actress Leslie Jones compared reelecting former President Donald Trump to asking “that sick f*ck who used to work at Nickelodeon to watch your kids.”
“Reelecting is like asking Jeffrey Epstein to watch your kids, or a pedophile priest to watch your kids, or that sick f*ck who used to work at Nickelodeon to watch your kids,” Jones said.
“Hey, how about we do this: donโt let anybody watch your kids!” Jones shouted.
It’s unclear why Jones made the comparison between Trump and child molesters, especially since the 45th president has never been associated with such behavior.
It’s still not clear which ex-Nickelodeon staffer Jones was talking about, as there are multiple convicted child molesters who were once employed by the network.
As previously reported, the newly released documentary “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” on Investigation Discovery uncovered alarming details about the toxic culture prevalent in popular children’s TV programs during the 1990s and early 2000s on Nickelodeon.
The docuseries uncovered several shocking revelations, including the involvement of at least three former Nickelodeon employeesโdialogue coach Brian Peck, production assistant Jason Handy, and Ezell Channel, who worked at the Burbank Nickelodeon lotโin targeting children and their subsequent convictions for sexual abuse.
Additionally, former freelance postproduction editor for Nickelodeon, Justin Smith, was also caught in a 2006 episode of To Catch A Predator sending nude photos of himself to a decoy he thought was a 13-year-old girl, as well as trying to meet up with her to perform oral sex.
Smith ended up pleading no contest to two counts: an attempted lewd act upon a child and attempting to send harmful matter.
