WATCH: Hollywood Actor Mark Ruffalo Backs Hamas’ Wishes, Claims: ‘We’re Not Going to Bomb Our Way to Peace’

At the Directors Guild of America awards ceremony on Saturday, Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo called for a “ceasefire” in Gaza, stating, “We’re not going to bomb our way to peace,” he said at the A-list celebrity event.

Mark Ruffalo showed up at the 76th Annual DGA Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills to pay tribute to his Poor Things director, Yorgos Lanthimos.

The actor took a moment on the red carpet to tell Deadline about his lapel pin, which represents Artists for Ceasefire.

Ruffalo said the group is “calling for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. There are 1,200 Israelis dead and 27,000 Palestinians,” he said, apparently neglecting to mention that the Hamas terrorist organization instigated the current war on October 7 by murdering said 1,200 Israelis.

“We’ve come to understand this bombing isn’t working, we’re not going to bomb our way to peace, and all we’re saying is, what’s wrong with giving a ceasefire a chance?” Ruffalo said.

A ceasefire would give Hamas the chance to re-arm and restock its resources before it resumes its objective of wiping out Israel and its people.

According to the reports, top-tier Hollywood stars like Joaquin Phoenix, Cate Blanchett, Channing Tatum, Jessica Chastain, Andrew Garfield, and Kristen Stewart have called for a ceasefire in Gaza and Israel, emphasizing the importance of protecting the lives of both Palestinian and Israeli civilians.

In their letter to President Joe Biden, the stars omitted any reference to Hamas and its campaign of slaughter.
