FEMA Worker Fired for Skipping Trump-Supporting Homes in Hurricane Relief Calls It ‘Not an Isolated Incident,’ Says She Was Made a Scapegoat (VIDEO)

The FEMA official fired for directing relief workers to ignore Trump-supporting homes claims it wasn’t an isolated incident.

Marni Washington instructed her staff to skip homes displaying Trump flags in the wake of a recent Florida hurricane, punishing them for their support of Donald Trump.

A whistleblower came forward with text messages revealing that FEMA official Marni Washington instructed relief workers to deliberately skip homes in Florida displaying Trump signs after Hurricane Milton.

Internal messages obtained by The Daily Wire reveal that FEMA discriminated against Trump supporters seeking aid after the recent hurricanes in the Southeast.

“Whistleblowers say that relief workers were told it was ‘best practice’ to pass over houses ‘advertising Trump,'” The Daily Wire revealed.

The workers would enter into the system that they made no contact with the residents, blaming the directive: “Trump sign, no contact per leadership.”

Marni’s staff at FEMA complied and skipped over at least 20 homes of suffering Americans.

Marni Washington was then removed from her role at FEMA.

“While we believe this is an isolated incident, we have taken measures to remove the employee from their role and are investigating the matter to prevent this from happening ever again. The employee who issued this guidance had no authority and was given no direction to tell teams to avoid these homes and we are reaching out to the people who may have not been reached as a result of this incident,” the spokesperson said to CNN.

However, Marni Washington stated on Tuesday that it wasn’t an isolated incident and that FEMA workers were also instructed to skip over Trump-supporting homes in the Carolinas.

She also said that FEMA is using her as a scapegoat.

“Demand those incident reports,” Marni Washington said as she explained the orders came down from the leadership.
