It seems that former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has made comments that suggest he wishes for the deaths of both Donald Trump and Vivek Ramaswamy.
The unsuccessful presidential candidate addressed an event titled “Does the Truth Still Matter? In Conversation With Chris Christie,” held on Tuesday at the University of Chicago.
“I would have preferred any of those people over Trump,” Christie said when asked about other Republican candidates. “Ramaswamy and Trump, I would have hoped for a death match where they both die.”
The comments prompted awkward laughter from the audience, as the moderator asked whether he was referring to “a literal death match.”
“Yes,” Christie added, “Where they both die.”

The applause break from the 'progressive crowd' was a nice touch of irony. pic.twitter.com/gkijE5ER54
