JUST IN: Biden Reveals to Key Ally That He’s Seriously Considering Dropping Out of the Presidential Race

Despite assertions from the Biden administration and his family, it seems the White House occupant is now reconsidering whether to continue in the presidential race.

This morning, The New York Times reported that Joe Biden is concerned about his ability to save his candidacy if he fails to convince the American people that he possesses the mental sharpness needed for the job, as relayed by a key ally following his poor debate performance last week.

According to the Biden ally who spoke to the Times, Biden understands that his upcoming appearances leading into the July 4 holiday weekend must be successful. This includes an interview set for Friday with former Clinton aide George Stephanopoulos of ABC News, as well as campaign stops in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

If these events do not go well, he might decide to drop out of the race entirely.

“He knows if he has two more events like that, we’re in a different place,” the ally explained to the outlet, referring to Biden’s debate performance.

The individual spoke to the Times anonymously because of the sensitive situation.

The report follows news that at least 25 House Democrats are gearing up to urge Joe Biden to suspend his presidential campaign after his disastrous debate performance against President Donald Trump.

Several polls, including one from Reuters/Ipsos conducted after the debate, indicate that a notable portion of Democrats think Biden should consider ending his campaign.

Furthermore, a number of Democrats have publicly distanced themselves from Biden. Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) became the first sitting congressional Democrat on Tuesday to urge Biden to withdraw from the presidential race, stating to NBC that he hoped other Democrats would join him in this stance.

One of the strongest criticisms of Biden came from former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who unexpectedly changed her stance on his mental acuity. After downplaying concerns just last weekend, Pelosi told MSNBC that it’s a valid question whether Biden’s debate performance was a one-off incident or indicative of more serious health issues.

“I think it’s a legitimate question to say, ‘Is this an episode or is this a condition?’ And so when people ask that question, it’s legitimate, of both candidates,” Pelosi said.

White House officials did not respond to the New York Times for a comment.
