The drummer for Motley Crue threatened to leave the United States if Trump beats Democrat Joe Biden in the upcoming 2024 election.
In an interview with The Big Issue, he mentioned that if the election doesn’t turn out as he hopes, he intends to return to Greece, his birthplace.
“Dude, I swear to God if that happens, then I’m coming over to visit the U.K. I’m out of here,” Lee said.
“I’ll go back to my motherland, go back to go Greece and get a house on one of the islands,” he continued.
He also stated his belief that the Trump administration has tarnished the country’s reputation in the eyes of the world.
“The thing that stings the most is that I feel like we’re embarrassing,” Lee said.
“I feel like people in Europe and the rest of the world look at America and think: “What the f–k are you guys doing over there? Stop voting for celebrities and get someone real to run the country,” he added.
The announcement comes as no shock, considering Lee’s frequent criticism of the president, particularly regarding the coronavirus.
When news broke of the former president and first lady testing positive for COVID-19, Lee tweeted it was karma.
Earlier, he had criticized Trump for his response to the worsening wildfires in California back in 2018.
As we’ve previously reported, Tommy Lee’s recent announcement is part of a trend of him speaking out on political issues.
Just a short while back, he made headlines by issuing a bold warning to Trump supporters, using explicit language to convey his message.
These instances highlight Lee’s ongoing commitment to voicing his opinions on current events and politics in a direct and provocative manner.
