Ghislaine Maxwell Quietly Transferred to Minimum-Security Federal Prison in Texas

Just a week after Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘partner-in-crime’ Ghislaine Maxwell spoke with the DOJ under limited immunity, reports now reveal she has been quietly transferred to a much more comfortable prison.

The convicted sex trafficker had been serving her 20-year sentence at the high-security FCI Tallahassee, but was reportedly transferred yesterday to the minimum-security Federal Prison Camp Bryan in southeast Texas.

The New York Sun first reported the transfer, and the Daily Mail has since confirmed it through Maxwell’s lawyer.

As reported by the Daily Mail:

Maxwell’s lawyer David Oscar Markus confirmed to Daily Mail that she was moved from the Tallahassee prison on Thursday.

The disgraced British socialite is now in the same prison as Theranos scammer Elizabeth Holmes and former Real Housewife of Salt Lake City Jen Shah.

The transfer was handled by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, which was unusual, as transfers are usually led by the US Marshals Service.

Federal Prison Camp Bryan primarily houses white-collar offenders.

In the meantime, the House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Maxwell for a deposition scheduled for August 11. However, she is expected to invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to testify unless her conditions — including immunity — are met.

Maxwell is seeking a presidential pardon, but Donald J. Trump said he has not been approached with such a request, though he acknowledged he has the authority to grant one.
