Pedro Mondragon-Ramirez, a 41-year-old illegal alien, is accused of stabbing a woman and her unborn baby to death during an argument.
Police report the stabbing took place Friday night in Rock Hill, South Carolina, during an argument.
Police say officers found the victims—37-year-old Leonor Alpizar and her unborn child—inside a home and transported them to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The suspect fled in the victim’s car and was apprehended early Saturday morning by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police following a chase.

He is being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail as a fugitive from South Carolina. Court documents show Mondragon-Ramirez is being held on an ICE detainer.
Rock Hill police have issued warrants for his arrest on charges of murder, death or injury of a child in utero due to the commission of a violent crime and possession of a knife during a crime of violence.
