Amal Clooney, wife of George Clooney, is facing the prospect of a U.S. travel ban.
According to The Financial Times, Amal Clooney may face sanctions from the Trump administration for advising the International Criminal Court (ICC) on potential prosecutions against Israel for alleged crimes against humanity related to the Gaza conflict.

The UK foreign office has warned senior British lawyers they are at risk of sanctions by the Trump administration because of advice they provided to the International Criminal Court on Israel’s conduct in Gaza.
Several senior lawyers involved in the ICC’s war crimes case against Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Yoav Gallant have received the warnings from Britain’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, according to people familiar with the matter.
In February, US President Donald Trump issued an executive order imposing sanctions on ICC prosecutor Karim Khan and warning that further measures could follow “on those responsible for the ICC’s transgressions.”
The sanctions include blocking property and assets and the suspension of entry into the US.
The 47-year-old human rights lawyer is known for her work on cases involving political prisoners, war crimes, and press freedom, having represented figures such as Julian Assange, Nadia Murad, and former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. However, she is perhaps best known for her marriage to Hollywood actor George Clooney, with the couple becoming one of America’s most prominent power duos.
Last year, reports surfaced that George Clooney personally called the White House to defend his wife’s work on arrest warrants for members of Israel’s military leadership.
Clooney’s relationship with the Biden administration further deteriorated after he penned a New York Times op-ed urging Joe Biden to step aside—an article many consider a pivotal moment in Biden’s decision to exit the presidential race.
Earlier this month, Clooney “exploded” at an MSNBC producer after host Mika Brzezinski suggested Barack Obama was behind Clooney’s op-ed urging Biden to drop out of the race.
