JUST IN: Hunter Biden Drops Lawsuit Against Rudy Giuliani, Robert Costello

Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, has decided to drop his lawsuit against former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and his former attorney Robert Costello.

The suit alleged that they had completely destroyed his digital privacy and manipulated data allegedly obtained from his laptop, according to court documents.

On June 13, a stipulation of voluntary dismissal was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

The dismissal states that all three parties and their respective legal teams have agreed to voluntarily dismiss the lawsuit against Mr. Giuliani and Mr. Costello without prejudice.

However, according to court records, U.S. District Judge Jessica Clarke must still review the dismissal.

Last September, attorneys for Hunter Biden filed a lawsuit claiming that Rudy Giuliani—who served as President Donald Trump’s legal adviser in 2020—and Robert Costello violated the federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. The lawsuit alleged they unlawfully obtained data from Biden’s laptop, which had been left at a Delaware computer repair shop in 2019.

In court documents, Hunter Biden’s legal team accused the two men of allegedly “hacking into, tampering with, manipulating, copying, disseminating, and generally obsessing over data that they were given that was taken or stolen from Plaintiff’s devices or storage platforms, including what Defendants claim to have obtained from Plaintiff’s alleged ‘laptop’ computer.”

Hunter Biden’s lawyers further claimed that his digital data was “manipulated, altered, and damaged” before being sent to Mr. Giuliani and Mr. Costello.

The lawsuit initially sought over $75,000 in damages, along with attorneys’ fees and other penalties.

Both Mr. Giuliani and Mr. Costello denied any wrongdoing.
